Shanghai MKE

Nominated as 2025's #1 speakeasy in the US by USAToday, ShanghaiMKE already has a strong identity centered around the theme of old Hollywood. Bold flavors, a modern feel, and cocktails that look as good as they taste.  

How I approached the shoot

For the menu content, we try to match the backgrounds for each cocktail, it may be from the interior of the restaurant or flowers to add a touch of whimsy. We worked through hero shots of key dishes, then filled in supporting images that are perfect for:

• Instagram posts and story frames

• Menu updates and seasonal announcements

• Email marketing and specials

• Press mentions and event promos
