For Xacalli Kitchen’s 2025 fall menu in Silverado, CA, they wanted a little extra intensity. We leaned into contrast, richer tones, and more directional light so the food felt bold and cinematic. The idea was to make each dish look like a hero, not just documentation. You should be able to glance at the photo and immediately get a craving.

The extra detail shots are what pull everything together. Leaves, shadows, textures, and the kind of natural elements you only notice when you’re actually there.

By the end of the shoot, the goal was a full seasonal library that makes it easy for the team to market the menu for weeks without scrambling for content.
